Merge a Duplicate Contact Profile
If you have created a new profile for an existing contact, you can merge it with the previously created profile from the Contact Search form or the contact profile toolbar. Invoices and other contact information will be included when you merge the profiles. However, data from fields in the new profile will only be transferred if the corresponding fields in the old profile are blank. For example, if the new profile contains a mobile phone number but the old profile already has a number, the existing mobile number in the old profile will be retained.

Warning: This process cannot be reversed. Before proceeding, we recommend backing up your Boulevard data file.
- From the main toolbar, select the Help button, then choose Contact (or from the Edit menu, select Find, then Contact).

- Using the search field in the Contact Search form, locate and select the duplicate profile that you want to merge into the other profile, then choose
Merge.
- In the Merge Profiles pop-up, the profile will be listed in the Duplicate Profile section, showing the information saved and where it is currently stored.
- In the Merge To section, locate the contact profile you want to keep. Once located, it will display where the profile is currently stored and any information already added to the profile. Click
OK to merge the profiles.
- Select Yes to confirm your choice, then click OK to acknowledge the merged profiles.

- From the contact profile toolbar of the duplicate, select
Move, then choose
Merge Profile.
- In the Merge Profiles pop-up, the profile will be listed in the Duplicate Profile section, showing the information saved and where it is currently stored.
- In the Merge To section, locate the contact profile you want to keep. Once located, it will display where the profile is currently stored and any information already added to the profile. Click
OK to merge the profiles.
- Select Yes to confirm your choice.
- After clicking OK to acknowledge the merged profiles, the profile displayed in the Merge To section from the previous step will open.
Additional Information:
- When moving a contact profile from either the Customer or Address List to the Unit List, a pop-up message provides additional information to inform the user to select Clear Filters and add the consultant number to the profile. View
- When merging two profiles, if the profile being kept has the Inactive option enabled, it will be removed to find the new profile easily.
- When merging two profiles from the unit list, production from the profile being merged will be transferred to the one being kept.
