Find or Search For a Contact
Quickly locate and manage contacts using the Find Panel for simple lookups or the Contact Search Form for detailed searches. Duplicate profiles can be merged, and deleted contacts restored from the Recycle Bin to keep your records accurate and complete.
Search Options:
- From Any Contact List: Clear any filters, then use the search field at the top of the Customer, Unit, or Address list to quickly find a saved contact.
- From Contact Search: Search all lists, including Boulevard’s Recycle Bin, to locate a contact.
Option 1: From any Contact List
Before proceeding, click
Clear Filters to remove any filters that may have been set. View
- Type part of the contact's name (or any other partial information for displayed fields) in the search field located in the Find Panel. As you start typing, the list will narrow to only possible contacts.
- If multiple contacts are found for the same person, see Merge a Duplicate Contact Profile.
- If only one contact is found, double-click on the contact to open their profile, then verify that it is not marked as Inactive. View Customer Profile or View Consultant Profile
- If the contact is not found, try using the Contact Search under Option 2.
Option 2: From Contact Search
From
Help on the main toolbar, under the Find section, select
Contact (or from the Edit menu, select Find, then Contact).
Type a unique part of the person's information (name, phone number, address, email address, etc.). If found, double-click on the contact to open their profile. If multiple contact profiles are found for the same person, see Merge a Duplicate Contact Profile. If they are not found, click Add to create a new contact profile.
Tip: If you find the contact and the List column shows Recycle Bin, or you cannot double-click to open the contact profile, that indicates the profile has been deleted. See Restore Contact from the Recycle Bin to restore the profile.
