Boulevard Window Sizes & Layout Options
Boulevard includes several options for adjusting how windows and forms appear. Forms can open in tab, tile, float, or cascade layouts, and each layout changes how windows can be moved, resized, or arranged. The main toolbar may be shown or hidden, simplified or traditional. The shortcuts panel on the left side can also be floated, docked, pinned, or closed to fit individual workflow preferences.
Options:
Main Toolbar: You can choose Simplified (set by default), Traditional (with plenty of options), or completely adjust the toolbar’s visibility.
Shortcuts: Paneled on the left side of the application by default, allows you to quickly access frequently used features and product update newsletters from the past year, when subscribed to the Product Update Service.
Recall Open Forms: Select which forms open automatically when the application first starts.
Arrange: Choose from Tab (set by default), which is similar to how web pages are viewed, Tile, Float, or Cascade. The Cascade option will also set the layout to Float when selected.
Close All: Closes all open forms.
Important Note: If screens appear too large or are not displaying the entire content, check your Display settings and Scale & Layout in Windows to ensure they are set to the recommended setting.
Main Toolbar
By default, the Main toolbar option is set to Simplified and Visible. Uncheck Visible to hide the toolbar, or uncheck Simplified to use the Traditional main toolbar. To temporarily collapse it, select
from the lower-right corner of the main toolbar. See Main Application Toolbar for more information about each main toolbar.
Shortcuts
The Shortcuts panel is located on the left edge of the application. Choose to Float, Dock, Auto Hide/Pin, or Close, or Customize Shortcuts, as well as view Product Update Newsletters if you are subscribed to the Product Update Service.
Recall Open Forms
If you have chosen the Float option, you can resize the form by hovering your mouse over its edge. When the
(double-headed arrow) appears, left-click, hold, and drag the form to the desired size. View
If you select the Recall Open Forms option from under the Window menu, Boulevard will reopen the same forms previously opened from the last time you exited the program, in the same position and size. View
If any of your forms are hidden or do not appear when you try to open them, we recommend going to the Window menu and unchecking Recall Open Forms. Go back to the Window menu, choose Arrange, then Tab.
Note: To choose whether the Dashboard opens at startup, select the Show Dashboard at startup option from the lower left corner of the Dashboard.
Arrange
Tab:
When Tab is selected, all forms open in a tabbed layout similar to a web page. Forms can only be closed (or rearranged); they cannot be minimized or maximized using this layout.
Tile:
When Tile is selected, all forms open in a tile layout (except for contact profiles, which float above the tile layout) using all available space in the application. Forms can be individually resized; however, when a new form is opened, each will automatically resize to fit the available screen. Individual forms can be minimized, maximized, and closed using this layout. View
Float:
When Float is selected, all forms will float in the open area of the application. Forms can be minimized, maximized, resized individually, and closed using this layout. View
Cascade
When Cascade is selected, all forms will cascade using float mode within the open area of the application. Forms can be minimized, maximized, resized individually, and closed using this layout. View
Close All
The Close All function closes all open forms in the application (except for the Shortcuts and Upcoming Events sidebar panels, if open).
