View Customer Product Usage and Purchase History
The Usage by Customer information is accessed from the product list. It shows customer purchase and usage activity for a specific product or for a group of similar products within a selected date range.
From the main toolbar, select
Inventory (or from the Product menu, select Product List).
Options:
Before proceeding with either option, if your search field is hidden, right-click anywhere on the column header (Part #, Description, Retail, etc.) and select Show Find Panel.
For One or More Items: This option is ideal if you want to use additional filter criteria, such as a product line or group. You can generate a report with the information and save customers to the List Builder for extra features, such as emailing or printing labels.
For a Specific Item: This option can be used if you want to generate a report of customer usage information for a specific item.
Option 1: For One or More Items
- From the view drop-down, select the Usage by Customer view.
- From the Filter sidebar, set any desired filters (Date Range, Category, Group, Product Line, Section, and whether to include Closeout Items or Out of Stock).
- To filter for a specific item, type a unique part of the item's name, product line, or partial part number in the search field.
- To print as a report, select the checkbox next to the desired contacts (or leave it unchecked to print all), then
Print. Additionally, to save the group as a list in the List Builder, select each contact (or select the checkbox column header to select all), then click
List Builder. This allows you to include additional information about each contact, such as phone number, email, etc.
Option 2: For a Specific Item
- In the search field, type a unique part of the item's name or partial part number.
- After locating the desired product, double-click it to open the product profile, then select the Usage tab.
- From the Period drop-down, choose one of the options listed or select Date Range to enter a custom range, then click OK.
- Click
Print to print.

- Use the List Builder to create a targeted list, send personalized group emails, or craft a Sales Event email using the provided usage information.
