Boulevard Default Data & Backup File Location
Your Boulevard software consists of two components, the program itself, and the data inside it (data you enter as well as product list information loaded from product updates).
Tips:
- We strongly recommend backing up to something remote, or cloud-based. For more information, see Back Up To An Online Option Automatically (Cloud-Based).
- To find your data or the default location of Boulevard backup files located on your hard drive, you'll want to ensure that Show hidden files and folders are enabled in
File Explorer on your computer. View
Data file location
Your Boulevard data file is named blvd.mdb and is stored in the following location:
C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\Blvd\blvd.mdb
Default Backup File Location
Unless you have specified a different location under the Backup tab in Preferences (such as your Google Drive), the following areas are where you'll find the backup file when using the automatic backup function upon exiting the software. The default naming convention for Boulevard backups is BLVD BACKUP_YYYY-MM-DD_HHMMSS.ZIP. This compressed zipped file should not be opened outside of Boulevard (only restored from inside the Boulevard software).
C:\Users\Your User Name\OneDrive*\Documents\Boulevard\BLVD BACKUP_YYYY-MM-DD_HHMMSS.ZIP
* Only applicable if your computer is set to use OneDrive.
You can also access the default backup file location under:
This PC > Documents > Boulevard
Versions prior to Boulevard 2018, by default, store backup files in the following location:
C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\Blvd
or
C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming
