Fix a Boulevard System Configuration Error

A system configuration error when launching Boulevard usually occurs if Boulevard is left open for an extended period and either a Windows update or other third-party software makes changes to your system (sometimes without you even realizing it). Running the Boulevard Configuration Repair Tool will typically remedy the issue.

We recommend that you exit Boulevard completely if you are not actively working in the application to help prevent your settings from becoming corrupt.

Note:

  • You will need administrative permissions on your computer to run the Boulevard Configuration Tool.
  • Some functions may be slightly different due to the browser you are using. If you are experiencing difficultly, try using a different internet browser.
  • If Boulevard has been installed anywhere other than the default (Program Files), you will need to contact our technical support team for further assistance.

Boulevard Configuration Repair Tool:

The following steps will delete your Boulevard settings folder but will not remove any data from your software. When finished the settings (colors, layout, etc.) will get recreated and set to their defaults when launching Boulevard. If you are still unable to open Boulevard after following the steps below, see Boulevard Not Opening from Shortcut or submit a request for additional assistance.

  1. Click the following link: Boulevard Configuration Repair Tool
If given the choice, then choose Run. Otherwise select Save and save the BoulevardSettingsReset.exe file to your Desktop.
  2. If you were not given the choice to Run, or where to save the file, hold the Ctrl key, then press the letter J. This will bring up a list of your recently downloaded files.
  3. From the files listed, locate the BoulevardSettingsReset.exe file, and depending on the browser you're using either click on Open, Run, or click on the file itself to launch it.
  4. When prompted, click Yes to allow the app to make changes to your PC and proceed with running the executable file.
  5. When the Boulevard Configuration Tool Form appears, click Delete, then OK to finish.
