Product Profile Types
In Boulevard, there are three multi-item product types (also referred to as bundles) that all include basic product profiles. Each product type is explained below.
Product Profile Types
Basic
The majority of products in the product list are considered basic product profiles. They have many options, including whether On Hand inventory is tracked when added to an inventory order or invoiced, various tax settings, and whether it is a retail item intended for resale or supply not intended for resale. Prepacks, collections, and sets are all made up of basic product profiles.
Prepack
A prepack is a grouping of products that include the same items that do not change when added to an invoice. When received into your inventory from a product order, the items included in the prepack will automatically disperse to their regular part numbers. If added to an invoice, it will reduce the On Hand amount for the items included in the prepack. This helps with inventory control and tracking so that inventory amounts are not kept in multiple part numbers for the same item.
Collection
A collection is a grouping of products that contain both items that do not change when added to an invoice (brushes, compact, etc.), but also includes items that vary and are selected at the time of the sale for the individual customer (specific color, shade, formula, or fragrance, etc.).
Set
A set is similar to a prepack except that it can store On Hand amounts and, if necessary, can be split to add to the On Hand amounts for the items included in the set.
